What can you say, eh? It was $1 at Wal-Mart. Still the kids were excited to have a tree.
We made an advent calendar out of construction paper.
A friend invited us over to make and decorate Christmas sugar cookies. Rachel wanted to hold their bird instead. 
Spencer loved decorating the cookies!

It was a great experience for the kids. They hadn't seen any american kids since arriving in Ghana and it was nice to have someone to play with. Not that the Ghanaian kids don't play with her, it's just that they still think of her as not real. The other day some kids were shouting "Obruni!" (that means foreigner) to her so she walked over to say hello and all the little girls her age ran off. Oh well.

Those scary blondes! Well, Rachel can be a big intimidating... you know. I did not know Craig shaved his head... probably a good idea. Is it hot and humid there? Are you wanting to shave yours off too? That could be pretty sweet.
