This was a sunset shot during our hike. This is what the sunsets look like everytime.

Spencer discovered a whole new way of smiling. Anytime we say smile, this is the face it pulls, so he'll probably look like this in most of our pictures for awhile! So cute. he's with his bud, Ganisha.

This is a view from the water hole up to the lodge. You can see the white buildings on the cliff.

When we came back from dinner, there was an ARMY of ants outside our room door going inside! We had them raid like crazy. Spencer and Rachel got right down and watched some of them in our room . They were carrying a dead bug and the kids thought it was so cool.

Ganisha, Adriana, and Ana ready for bed. mummified. Long story, but when we got to the lodge we all checked into our rooms. The girls found that there was no running water in their room, so they asked for a different one. "okay, we have another room available, but they are cleaning it so come back later to get the key." So they took back the old room key. We left to go on our 2 hour hike in the park and when we got back we found out that they had given the new room key away to someone else because they had overbooked the lodge! needless to say the girls were upset. The manager tried to offer them the opportunity to stay in their "guest bunk." They took the 3 girls out to this small cabin thing in the middle of nowhere (and remember it's pitch black by 6:30pm), with spiders crawling all over it. yeah right, like they were going to stay there. so they asked for some extra mattresses and they bunked up with us. It was fun. They mummified themselves in an attempt to keep any ants, mosquitos, or crawling things off of them. They also used deet around the perimeter of their beds. hilarious.

It was nice to stay there. In the evening and morning it felt soo cool and nice. I got up earlier than anyone else to sneak outside and get one last look at the water hole. Craig joined me and we saw a pack of baboons in the distance running around. We didn't see any elephants that early, but it was so peaceful. We really enjoyed this place though we didn't get much time here. Not even one full day. we arrived by 2pm and left the next morning.
