Fan Choco anyone?

Well finally, the Waites have internet again! Oh I can't tell you how wonderful it is to be connected with the world once more and to get back to my little journal here. Diving right on in, these are some pictures of one of our favorite treats. In Ghana they have hawkers selling things on the street. One of the things that is sold is Fan products. you can also find people selling them in their little shacks on the side of the road. They have a little freazer cart that they push around. To let you know that they are near, they have a little horn they squeeze. It's like a bike horn/rubber ducky sounding horn. Anyway, they sell frozen strawberry yogurt, vanilla ice cream, and frozen chocolate milk. There are also fruit juices, but we ate the other three the most, especially FAN CHOCO. mmmmmm. To eat fan choco you rip a hole in the top of the little square bag and suck it out. Sometimes it's actually frozen solid so you have to chew it out. This is how everything is packaged; water, treats, anything off the streets that is drinkable. The Ghanaians can drink it all in one go. We all would laugh because our friends would have their water opened, drained, and packaged wadded up to throw away all before we could get our opened and one gulp down our throats. Amazing!
